The Talk to Me app is made to assist you in speaking a phrase.

The speaker’s language can be changed so that the pronunciation for the text entered is correct.

The pitch and speed of the speaker can be changed to allow the text to be more easily heard and understood.

The main view

Select the grey box and enter the text that you want to hear the iPhone speak. Press the “Done" button to hide the keyboard. You can vary the speed and tone of the spoken text using the slider buttons below. Accent

Change the accent of the spoken text by selecting from the list. The default accent will match your iPhone setting but you might want to change it, for example to hear a foreign language as it would be spoken by a native speaker. Or just to have fun listening to different accents speaking your own language.

Auto clear text

When 'auto text clear' is 'on', text already present in the grey box will be cleared when you start to enter more text. If you intend to edit text while listening to it being spoken, we recommend you turn off the 'auto text clear'. By default 'auto text clear' is 'off'.
